Mimi's Surprise Birthday Party

When she leaned to blow out the candles, Mere Austin grabbed a handful of cake and icing... she will be lots of fun at her first birthday party.

We went to the Country Club and gave MiMi a surprise birthday party... boy was she surprised, we had been with her all day and she had no clue.

Our fishing trip

austin and I went Deep Sea Fishing with my dads friend Clay Blalack. We always have so much fun. I got really sun burned since I havent seen sun since last October (with Mere Austin, school, work, and Austin I just cant seem to find the time)

I dont know why the pics came up in reverse order, but this is austins fish he was fighting in the below pictures....

Kevin is in the blue shirt. He lives in Metarie and fishes from Venice on most days. He has a 16 month old son and only gets to see him like once a week in peak fishing season. I could not even begin to imagine...

this below was the first fish of the day.... it was a big tuna!

Clay said maybe 50-60 pounds. But it sure could fight. The big blue thing I am wearing is actually called a "diaper" It hold the pole and takes the strain off your arms and puts it on your legs... really makes catching the fighters alot easier.

Our Catch!!

This is Kevin... the man who did all the work on the boat. Day 2 we caught redfish and trout. You can see here... all I did was catch... not handle.

Mere Austin is 5 months

Mere Austin and Austin were sitting in the floor playing.

I love this look, makes me think of my baby pictures.

"Why are you looking at me? I didn't do anytihing..."

She is trying so hard to crawl, but all she does is get on her hands and toes...

and then fall back down or go backward.
and...here she is on her hands and toes...

She had just woken up from her nap. She looks so tired, and if you look hard you can probably see the squash on her face, that I apparantly missed after lunch.

Her new "thing" is to play with and suck on her toes... it is to funny to go get her out of bed and see her there trying to get both feet into her tiny mouth.

Going to church

here Mere Austin ended up ready before i got ready and had to sit in the floor playing until i could finish. She does really well sitting and playing alone. She was intently watching emma sitting in her chair in the first picture. She really loves her "big sister".

Waking up Daddy

On days when Daddy is home, I swear she knows. She always wakes up a little earlier than usual and we let her lay in our bed and play. This makes for a great day when we can all be home together

Sitting Alone

It is amazing what progress Mere Austin has made in just 2 weeks. She can now sit alone, with very few falling over spells. She still "folds in half" sometimes though.

Kelly Lowe's Birthday

for Kelly's Birthday we took a limo to Clarksdale. We had a great dinner at Rust and then went to Ground Zero before coming home. Below are some pics of the evening.

Cereal Again

I stole my spoon from my mom. I am begining to learn how to eat with a spoon. I get frustrated if I dont have my bottle before trying to eat with a spoon. Guess it is about time to get the highchair out of the attic, the bouncy chair doesn't hold me up very well.

First Cereal Experience

our first rice cereal experience... I had more fun smiling and laughing at my mom than I did trying to learn to eat. I didn't get to much into my tummy... but I sure did get it in my hair, ears, and all over my face and clothes!!

Watching Mom Make Dinner

I really like to sit in my seat on the kitchen counter and watch Mom and Dad.

They make me laugh.
That is of course until the camera flashes and then I don't know what to do.
(do I look like my dad or what?)

3 Months

I am now 3 months...
I am up to 12 pounds 2 ounces now (mom can't believe it)

Dad and Nana say I look like a boy in my maroon MSU outfit...

But my aunt Meredith bought it so I wear it.
I really like to sit on my dad's lap now and watch tv after my bottle until mom says it is bedtime.
